MVCSD News Thank You to the Dubuque Racing Association

This past spring, the Maquoketa Valley Community School District applied for a Dubuque Racing Association Education Grant.  The Dubuque Racing Association has already made a positive impact on the Maquoketa Valley Community Schools by providing additional revenue over the past 6 years to help offset our costs to increase handicap accessibility for the district’s outdoor stadium.  The Dubuque Racing Association has approved grant monies to the district for the purchase of a security camera system, which is currently in place at the High School.  The Dubuque Racing Association has also provided enough revenue for our district to purchase iPAD’s for a portion of our elementary classrooms.  This past year the Dubuque Racing Association Education Grant help to fund a portion of our security door lock system in all of our school buildings.  Through the Dubuque Racing Association Education Grant writing process, the Maquoketa Valley Schools recently received another generous grant from the Dubuque Racing Association to install a security cameras at our middle school and elementary in Delhi. Our district is fortunate that this not-for-profit corporation has always been willing to help worthy projects.  A huge thank you goes out to the Dubuque Racing Association.
