Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars

Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 to encourage students to continue their education, by providing financial support in the form of local scholarships. They are operated locally by volunteers and are affiliated nationally with Scholarship America. Since its establishment in 1999, $695,283 in scholarships have been awarded to 865 graduating seniors to assist them with post-secondary education expenses. The program garnered national recognition as Iowa Dollars for Scholars Chapter of the Year in 2011.
